We are calling it simply the Garden Bed system or GB. These systems come complete with our Row Cover Kit. The innovative aspect of the GB garden box system is the way in which the row cover hoops are integrated into the box, through the cedar top rail, while the hardware is secured to the inside of the box out of sight. This means that the row cover kit is both an aesthetically pleasing and functional tool of the GB garden box series protecting your valuable plants from frost and insect damage.

Additionally, these boxes are designed to be a permanent structure unlike any other commercially available garden box that you can buy online. Unlike other commercially available garden boxes, the GB systems are built strong using 1 1/2" thick western cedar boards, spruce or fir that come in standard full lengths of 8', 10' and 12' long. These are full lengths, not 4' lengths like online sources sell so that they can be easily shipped out for you to put together. All our boxes come standard 4' wide and are 22 1/2” high delivered and can be installed by us on site.

You can certainly purchase a cheaper box from online sources, but you will not be getting the same comparable product because buying a box 6" - 12" tall is really throwing your money down the drain. Why not instead buy a little extra dirt and simply dump it on the ground? You are still going to experience lower back pain, knee and neck ache. What is the reason for adding a mere extra 6" of soil to the ground if it is not going to aid in making gardening more enjoyable?

The WGB Pedestal Raised Garden Bed System

As special as the GB raised garden bed system is, the WGB raised garden bed is truly innovative. Standing 30" in total height, the WGB raised garden bed is perfect for wheel chair accessibility, though it is versatile enough to be used comfortably for anyone. So let's look at the additional features of this garden box:

Whereas the GB raised garden bed system is not suitable for deck installation since the entire box is full of your planting medium choice and would pose far too much weight for any deck to handle, the WGB raised garden bed system can be set up on your deck or rooftop because only the top planting tray is filled with your soil medium choice. The base is hollow and excess water drains into it from a weep hole in the center of the planting tray.

Another plus of the WGB raised garden bed systems is that it can be fitted with our 4' garden panel for growing vining plants as well as tomatoes. The panel is effective for the square foot gardening method. Square foot gardening utilizes as much of the surface area as possible. The panel secures inconspicuously under the planting tray out of the way and when not in use can easily be removed without trouble.

Special for this box is an innovative watering recycle system that is installed in the accessible Storage Base unit model. Here a water tank, pump, valves and piping is plumbed in and used to automatically water your vegetables at the flick of a switch located underneath. This system is essential and convenient for those who would otherwise find it difficult or inconvenient to water by hand or by lugging a hose around.
